O'DWYER HORSESHOES ANVIL 40KG
Description
The always dependable series of O'Dwyer Anvils.
We have four models in the O’Dwyer Anvil range, all of which are cast using a 4140 steel under strict quality controls, each anvil is hardness tested using the Brinell Hardness testing scale, with each anvil required to be within Brinell (BHN) 400-450 hardness.
Each Anvil also has a square Hardie Hole for anvil tools like heel cutters or steel cutters that you can forge with your hammer, and a round hole that is designed for your Pritchel to punch through nail holes.
Features include:
* Turning cogs for shaping of the heels either inwards or outwards. These Turning cogs are orientated to suit Right-handed Farriers
* Rounded anvil heels for which enables the shoe to be spread out, with minimal indentation to the inside of the shoe
* Larger surface area than the 20Kg anvil, making it easier to hand make shoes.
* 1¼” Hardie Hole and round pritchel hole are ideally located near the heel of the anvil.
O'Dwyer anvils are available in 20 kg. (44lbs), 40 kg. (88 lbs), 95 kg. (209 lbs) and the 38kg Centurion.
